How can we help?

The service aims to promote opportunities for people to live a full and independent life by enabling them to access groups and activities in a community setting.

This service helps those who are feeling isolated, want to access meaningful activities and build new friendships. Imagine uses peer support workers (people with lived experience of mental health) and Bridge Builders (qualified advisors) to deliver the service.

The service offers two styles of participation:

For people who want their activity to take place in a group setting with support workers with lived experience:

  • User-led drop-in
  • Peer support groups and activities
  • Educational programmes

For people who want their activity/opportunity to be in the community alongside other members of the public, but with the support of an Imagine Bridge Builder:

  • Access to healthy living sports and leisure opportunities
  • Education and training
  • Volunteering
  • Paid employment (through the Individual Placement and Support model)

You may choose to change how you participate as your recovery progresses.
