At 5 April 2023 Imagine had 240 individuals employed and we have analysed the pay of those staff to ensure that we identify and address any gender pay inequality. When producing these figures, we have complied with the guidance published by the Government on their website:https://www.gov.uk/guidance/gender-pay-gap-reporting-overview
Key Data for 2023
Detailed Calculations
Mean (Average) Hourly Pay Rate:
Men: £12.40
Women: £13.52
Women earn on average 9.1% more than men.
Median (Mid-point) Hourly Pay Rate:
Men: £11.31
Women: £12.34
The median pay for women is 9.1% higher than for men.
Bonus Payments: The charity does not pay bonuses, so these calculations are not applicable.
Pay Quartiles - The information is also set out into quartiles. Salaries have been presented in ascending order and split into four equal groups to check the composition of each quartile:
• Overall staff composition: 66.9% women, 33.1% men
• Upper quartile: Men are underrepresented in the highest-paid group
• Lower middle quartile: Men are overrepresented in this group.
The analysis shows that, on average, women at Imagine Independence are paid more than men, both in mean and median hourly rates. Men are less represented in higher-paying roles and more represented in lower middle-paying roles.
On the basis of the presented data for 2023, Imagine Independence is pleased to note that there is no specific inequality in favour of men. This position is unlikely to change for 2024.
In these circumstances, no specific action is planned although the information will continue to be produced and assessed and the position kept under review.
