Building Up Stronger

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant effect on mental health and wellbeing of thousands of people.

Imagine Independence is here to support people across Merseyside through these challenges.

We’ve recently launched our Building Up Stronger project, which is a pilot scheme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund to help people in Liverpool access mental health support during COVID-19.

The project will allow more people strengthen their mental wellbeing and build confidence, as well as helping them to prepare for future challenges such as further lockdown restrictions.

What is Building Up Stronger?

Building Up Stronger is a free service providing access to mental health support.
We will support people who sign up to the scheme to:
  • Link up with local community services across Liverpool to prevent them from feeling as lonely or isolated
  • Building Up Stronger -
  • Improve digital skills and access digital services so they can keep in touch with others
  • Access other sources of wellbeing support across the city

Who is it for?

Building up Stronger is currently available for people in the following wards:
  • Princes Park
  • Kirkdale
  • Riverside
  • Everton
  • Central
  • Kensington and Fairfield
  • Picton
  • Anfield
  • Norris Green

We hope to roll out the service to the rest of Liverpool soon.
