Imagine Independence Wellbeing Fair
Our Knowsley Social Inclusion team held their first ever Wellbeing Fair at their site in Knowsley Bridge, welcoming the local community to a fun day of activities and information aimed at helping people improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Our talented team worked hard to organise a varied and exciting day to appeal to and involve Knowsley residents. To raise awareness and encourage people to come along on the day they even held a colouring competition for local primary schools prior to the event and displayed their work on the day.
And what a wonderful day it was! The sun was shining and there was something for everyone to enjoy from information stalls to music, fun Fairground games and even snake handling! Yes, Paul from the Knowsley team brought along some of his exotic pets, including snakes and lizards – meeting these exotic creatures was a big hit with everyone!
The Choir with No Name entertained with some fabulous singing, the raffle draw caused lots of excitement with some super prizes donated by local businesses and ‘Bill & Ben and Weed’ made a guest appearance too. There was also time to take a break from the hustle and bustle thanks to Mindfulness Yoga offering free taster sessions to help people relax and unwind.
A really successful day, so much so the team are thinking about making it an annual event!
