Imagine Independence shortlisted for Workplace Health and Wellbeing award

Imagine Independence is delighted to have been shortlisted in the Workplace Health and Wellbeing category at this year’s Liverpool and Sefton

Chambers of Commerce Annual Awards.

The Health and Wellbeing category recognises the achievements of organisations that work to increase awareness around the need to support staff in the workplace.

Imagine Independence delivers a wide range of work in this area including its Mental Health First Aid training, which it has developed into a different offer to other courses available by ensuring that the information, advice and guidance is available after the training course has ended.

Imagine also offers short courses to local businesses on mental health awareness, suicide prevention and developing mental resilience for employees, developed in recognition that not all employers are in a place to release their staff for the two full days required to pass the MHFA course.

Margaret Hanson, Chief Executive of Imagine Independence, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for our work to increase awareness of mental health and support staff in the workplace. As a result of Imagine’s work, many more businesses in the city and Sefton are more able to recognise the signs of mental illness in their workplace and know what to do to support their colleagues, something which is becoming increasingly more vital.”

The awards, which recognise the achievements of local businesses, will be announced at a ceremony at Liverpool Football Club on 14th November.
