After doing an amazing job for the last forty years, our CEO, Iain Brodie Browne is retiring. Iain’s passion and commitment to the charity and the people we support has made us who we are today. Our new CEO, Margaret Hanson begins her new role today and we’re all happy to welcome her to Imagine!

A message from Pauline Berry, Chair of Imagine Independence Trustees:

‘The Board is delighted to announce that Margaret Hanson has accepted the post of Chief Executive Officer of Imagine and will formally take up her post on Monday, 4th June 2018. I hope that you will join us in welcoming Margaret to the Imagine family and that you will get to meet her very soon.

Margaret has worked in both the private and third sectors, spending the last 13 years working exclusively in the charity and health sectors. She is also a co-founder of ‘2025″, a coalition that aims to address health inequalities and to promote mental wellbeing. Given her energy and commitment in her career to date, I am sure that she will lead Imagine confidently and keep us true to our values and mission.

Whilst we are all sad to see Iain leave, we wish him well in retirement after a short handover to Margaret’s capable hands. Iain has made a massive contribution. He has made Imagine the successful and well respected organisation it is today and we are all hugely grateful for this. He has led us well and should be rightly proud of his achievements.’
