Imagine work closely with NHS England, HMPPS, Resettle and Crosby Housing Association to provide Merseyside Accommodation Support Service for up to 12 men as part of the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway. Support is underpinned by the principles and theory of cognitive analytical therapy, which is the psychological framework that underpins the service.

We ensure that men are supported to develop sustainable community resettlement after release from custody, with emphasis on appropriate accommodation and tenancy sustainment skills. The residents can reside at the service for up to 18 months after which time robust move on plans will be in place.

The residents are encouraged to participate in a range of interventions including: one to ones, group meetings, peer sessions, training and individual care planning. There is an emphasis on partnership working and joint working.

The service delivers weekly housing sessions and supports the residents to register with social proprietors, bid on property’s, apply for housing benefits, support with budget management and accessing furniture etc. If the men are suitable, the service will support with referral for a Care Act assessment.
