Imagine Independence is a charity with a positive approach to mental health that works to promote opportunities for people to live a full and independent life. We are proud to have the support of up to 150 volunteers and over 200 staff members to help those who need us.
Imagine Independence provides community based mental health services to people who need support with life skills, housing, empowerment and community participation. Through our innovative person-centred solutions, we aim to help each individual make the right lifestyle choices for their particular needs.
Based in Merton – flexible hours
You will be supporting clients on a 1:1 basis to develop a wellness recovery plan, achieve their personal goals (vocational, volunteering, starting college, community based) or to provide practical support (completing forms, daily living skills, traveling, IT, shopping).
You will be using lived experience of mental health to inspire, instil hope on recovery and enhance social inclusion. You will have a positive attitude to recovery and have the ability to listen to the client’s needs.
You would be co-developing and facilitating workshops to upskill and enhance people’s recovery journey. Workshops could range from managing stress, developing a self-management plan, confidence and assertiveness, work preparation, or daily living skills. You would be working alongside, and supported by staff.
You will be using lived experience of mental health to inspire, instil hope on recovery and enhance social inclusion. You will have a positive attitude to recovery and have the ability to facilitate groups
