We are looking to recruit a Senior Specialist Support Worker (STCP) based at our new “transitions project” in Brierfield where we support people with complex needs moving in to their own home in a bungalow scheme. This is a supported living setting.
In this Senior Specialist Support Worker role, you will provide personalised support to each person – in line with the individual’s person-centred plan – and assist people to live as tenants and citizens in the local community. Support must be consistent with people’s rights, choices and responsibilities. The level of support will vary according to the agreed needs, legal framework and informed choice of the person.
Our team provide support to individuals with a variety of different needs and conditions. This includes learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, neurological impairments, psychiatric and clinical needs, complex behaviour and other needs. They may require support with all their daily living requirements and people who are patient, caring and able to support people with complex needs.
You will be working in a large, experienced and supportive team. The role will include time on rota and time off rota to support the Service Manager to deliver the service and support the team.
STCPs take a leading role within the staff team, to provide support to individuals with learning disability, mental health problems and complex needs. A full, bespoke training package is offered along with career development opportunities and excellent terms and conditions. The ability to drive is essential
