The third Monday in January is Blue Monday. Post-Christmas melancholy has set in, and a combination of grey days and a swiftly dwindling pay packets have sent dopamine levels nose diving.
In partnership with Professional Liverpool, Imagine Independence are offering mental health and wellbeing sessions free of charge on Monday 20 January 2020 at our Head Office on the aptly-named Hope Street in Liverpool City Centre!
The event will be interactive and fun with a range of activities catering for all learning styles.
A mental health and wellbeing session for individuals who want to adopt simple changes in the New Year to promote their mental health and wellbeing.

This would set out the simple steps that employers can take to embed positive mental health into their workplaces. This will cover best practice in relation to policy and procedures for the SME sector in order to reduce sickness absence/presenteeism and promote resilience/wellbeing amongst employees.

The sessions will last 2 hours, and will include a short film, group discussions, optional personal activities and a presentation. While the session will be fun and informative, sensitive and supportive, parts of the morning may cover difficult content for some people. To book a place go to:
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. In the same way as learning physical first aid, MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health and feel confident to guide someone to appropriate support. Embedding MHFA training within any organisation or community also encourages people to talk more freely about mental health, reducing stigma and creating a more positive culture.
All our accredited MHFA England courses cover these areas in detail, giving you the confidence to support anyone who is having problems with mental ill health. It is especially useful to anyone supporting vulnerable people, or those responsible for wellbeing and welfare in the workplace or youth settings.
